The weekend of the 4th of July is less than 24 hrs away.  Walleye action has been steady with catches of “eater” sized fish coming fairly consistently.  Weedlines in the 8-15 foot zone, as well as, the 20-25 range just off the drop has produced the most fish over the last few days.  Fish taking crankbaits and of course leeches and nightcrawlers.

Smallmouth Bass action has been pretty good as well with soft plastics and crankbaits accounting for most of the action.  Primary points throughout S. Lake Leelanau have been the more consistent areas to target.
